I was born in Kingstree, SC, and was reared on my family’s farm in rural Williamsburg County. I have a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s in public history. After graduate school, I worked for 30 years for the state of South Carolina. Retired, I now work part time as a consultant. An architectural historian by training and practice, I spend time reading about, researching, and documenting South Carolina’s historic buildings and architects. I enjoy my family, genealogy, traveling, and serving my church.
