I've fought back against the manipulative and cunning disease of addiction since I was in college. It began with drinking and smoking marijuana. Through the years I ended up getting addicted to heroin. I've been in more detoxes, rehabs and sober programs than I can remember. An overdose finally made me get clean. It can be very hard to stay clean and sober. That said my higher power, who is god, and AA have helped me to fight off the disease of addiction. Life is good today for me. My fight against addiction is something that I must continue for the rest of my life. I put together these memorials in memory of friends of mine from high school, college and the halls of AA. Many of them have died due to overdoses. Some have died because of an illness or accident. That said I find these memorials a good way to remember them. If any family member would like me to transfer their loves ones memorial to them I'll gladly do it.
