I'm descended from Nicholas Perkins of Virginia as documented by William K. Hall.

Ancestors moved from New Kent County to Goochland County and then to Fluvanna County. My great grandfather was born in Fluvanna, was a soldier in the Confederate army, and after the war returned to the farm.

His son, my grandfather William, worked for a construction company based in Charlottesville, VA, all his adult life. He had three children, my father, Paul, being the oldest. Grandfather was killed in a construction accident in 1927. My father (1908-2002) retired from Humble Oil in 1968.

I live in Raleigh, NC, close to my two children, Mark and Sally.
