Genealogy is my retirement project. I do it to gather information for my family to give roots to the next generations that will ask WHO and WHY. I also started working on it to gather medical information for our family's history of illnesses or genetic medical conditions. Specifically gathering death certificates of "cause of death" to document what is possibly in our genes. We have recurring cancer, diabetes, etc. and future generations need to know what to tell their doctor. I work on Ancestry.com and add these causes to the "location of death" box to be obtained quickly. I love the research and am glad I can give this "gift" to my family!
