I was born Rebecca Mae Brooks from Norton Ohio before marrying my husband Donald Collard I began researching genealogy because I knew nothing of my family as my mother died when I was three and dad when I was 17.I remembered the frustration of not knowing any history not even names for grandparents when we did family trees in school, and my children's frustration when I could not supply the information so I went on a search to find my family tree
