Bio

Hi! I grew up in New Jersey, and currently live in the metro Atlanta area in Marietta. I first joined Find-A-Grave in 2000 or so when it only listed famous people. That login was lost long long ago, and so I rejoined recently.

I became interested in graveyards when I was about 12 years old. My Mom would drop me off at the Ocean County Library in Toms River so I could work on reports. When I would need a break I would walk a couple blocks and wander around a graveyard of shipwreck victims (I'm sure it was this graveyard: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=1997001). I was very intrigued by what was written on the many graves. I also was interested in shipwreck history on the Jersey Shore, and I had a cool map of the locations of many of the shipwrecks near the Barnegat Inlet.

I love history, and enjoy visiting historical places. As quoted, those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. I try to do my part to keep history alive!
