Hi! I live in a small southern community with my husband of 28 years, our 7 year old son, and my 82 year old father. He has been interested in our family roots for some time and has done a lot of leg work over the years, searching cemetaries, record offfices, and dusty libraries. He recently had his DNA tested for paternal lineage and since upgraded to the National Geographic, GENOgraphic Project 2 which will be able to extract his maternal DNA among other things. Since his health has declined and he moved in with us I guess you could say I've become his girl Friday, scanning the internet for more clues and links to our own family's history. The joy I feel every time I come across new information is amazingly gratifying and I became hooked immediately. I joined here as a volunteer, to help others find one more piece of their own family stories and share this awesome journey with as many people as I can!
Update: my father has pasted and that kept me away from trying to help here for quite sometime. I’m glad to say it once again brings me comfort and I hope to fulfill as many requests as I can. 3/12/2018
