Bio

I hadn't done family research in several years when I started my Find A Grave account. Some of the work I did way back in 1992 resulted in found family 12 years later! In this age of instant communication it's quite a surprise to receive word that my letters written years ago had been found.

My interest in family history started in my early teen years when I had the opportunity to travel to Ireland with my father. I did not mind at all spending time looking for coats of arms or documents along with the usual tourist jaunts. History research of any kind has always been very rewarding. My goal in keeping my own family history file and researching has been to hunt down every lead and filling in as many verifiable details as possible, as far back as I can go. I want to make sure all details are accurate, as I discovered that it is easy to get carried away and add every speculative link I could find. This can get very confusing. I still have some mistaken linked relationships and details that I have not cleared up from many a late night looking for clues. So, my tree on Ancestry.com is still in the infancy stage...a work in progress!

I would be glad to try and take pics of graves in my area. My son and I like to visit the cemeteries in every city we visit.
