I have been researching my various maternal and paternal lines for many years. I find researching family history quite fascinating and, at times, quite challenging. I'm especially interested in the following surnames: Loftis, High, Allen, Langford, Patrick, Dunnegan (all spellings), Strong, Upton, Low(e), Brendle (all spellings), Matney, Smith. All of these lines were in southern Missouri at one time. They had previously been in Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Arkansas or North Carolina.
