I was born in Higginsville, Missouri, but grew up in the Calallen-Corpus Christi, Texas area. I graduated from Texas A & I in 1966. I graduated from the University of Texas Law School in 1975 and passed the Texas Bar Exam the same year. In Austin, Texas, I worked for 4 different Texas state agencies including the State Office of Administrative Hearings where I worked as an Administrative Law Judge. After I retired, I moved back to Corpus Christi, Texas in 2006, where I still live with my husband William A. Roberts, Jr., who was my childhood best friend.
