Bio

I was born and raised in Albuquerque New Mexico during the 'boomer' era. Attended Del Norte High School there and graduated in 1971. Enlisted in the USAF immediately after high school and served for 22 years, retiring to my current home in San Angelo Texas.
My interest in Find-a-Grave came about as an adjunct to a post-retirement interest in genealogy and history. My mother's family includes several Hispanic/Anglo mixed families from the Otero and Lincoln county regions of New Mexico (including Mackey, Kimbrell, Samora, Duran, Holguin, and Marquez). My father's include the Horne family who came from England in the early 1900s to the Chicago area, and the Proctor family of Nebraska/Iowa/Oklahoma.
Aside from my family, I've compiled listings of members from several San Angelo families I'm researching for historical purposes. It was an uninteded surprise to find that several of these families had links to Albuquerque (my old home town) and why some surnames in my memorial listings show up in both New Mexico and Texas.
