Hollis S. Leeper, 78, died Monday, March 10, 1980 at Bethesda Memorial Hospital at Boynton Beach, Florida.

Born January 27, 1902 at Memphis, he was the son of James McGregory and Lillie Ann Mustoe Leeper.

He married Essie Kerner December 16, 1923 at Luray. She died March 3, 1961.

He married Thelma Williams Powell May 28, 1966 at Canton and she survives.

Also surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Dorothy Dochterman of Wayland; Mrs. Wanda McLeland of Macon; Mrs. Neva Klopfer of Gorin and Mrs. Carolyn Ferguson of Ewing; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Bonnie Leeper of Keokuk, Iowa; two brothers, Roy Leeper of Dayton, Kentucky and Murlin Leeper of Deerfield Beach, Florida; three sisters, Mrs. Inez Mosier of Kahoka; Mrs. Maude Kittle of Arbela and Mrs. Blanche Ayers of Canton: four step daughters, Mrs. Rita Day of Canton; Mrs. Brenda Colbert of Canton; Mrs. Teresa Martin of Canton and Mrs. Lavon Malatin of Phoenix, Arizona; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Richard and one sister, Mrs. Opal Baker.

Leeper was a farmer in the northeast Missouri area until his retirement six years ago, when he moved to Boynton Beach. He was a member of the Luray Baptist Church and El Dorado Lodge No. 318, Luray Chapter of the Masons.

Services were Friday, March 14 at 2 p.m. at the Luray Baptist Church, Rev. Harry Kearns and Rev. Roy Starbuck officiated.

Pianist was Mrs. Ruth Ayers and soloist was Miss Donna Ayers.

Pallbearers were grandsons: Keith Dochterman, Kent Leeper, David Dochterman, Danny Klopfer, Church McLeland, Don McLeland, Curt McLeland, and Brent Perrine. Masonic services were held Thursday evening at the Wilson Chapel.

Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Luray Baptist Church.
