Ollie Mae Moreland (1914-2012)


DENISON - Ollie Mae Moreland, age 98, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many went home to rest in the arms of Jesus Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Moreland was born May 24, 1914 in Preston Bend, the daughter of Pete and Carlie (Neu) Christman. She married Earnest Moreland July 2, 1936 in Durant, Okla. Ollie always put her family and others needs before her own. She leaves a legacy of integrity, respect and love of family and of God. Ollie was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She lived a life of example and was loved and respected by all who crossed her path. She will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Moreland is survived by her beloved family, son, Terry Moreland and wife Carol; daughter, Edna Draper and husband James all of Denison; grandchildren, Karen Rich, Doug Beam, Michael Draper, Terry Brian Moreland, William Moreland, Rhonda Anderson and Donnie Franklin; great-grandchildren, Amanda Cross, Caleb Green, Micaylah Rich, Mallory Moreland, Cody Moreland, Austin Draper, Alex Cobb, Michael Anderson, Joey Franklin and Trey Franklin; great-great-granddaughter, Madeline Green and special granddaughter and caregiver, Kim Mathews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earnest Moreland, sisters, Lillian Poe and Faye Christman and brother, Willie Christman.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at Fairview Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Larry Blain. There is no set time for family visitation.
