Charles was a son of Mr. Abram Ardis and a brother of Mr. A. L. Ardis of Sumter County, and was 38 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Claire Cox Ardis whom he married on 6 January 1917 in Albemarle County. The cause of death was not stated in the telegram received by his brother, Mr. A. L. Ardis, but the supposition is that it was the result of heart trouble.
Mr Ardis was employed as a Foreman of the Ely Construction Company, with which he had been connected for the past three years.
