Josephine E. Buffington, 96, a resident at Highland View Health Care in Brockway, died Sunday Sept. 30, 2012, at Highland View.
Born Jan. 7, 1916, in Brandy Camp, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Petitti. She was married to Paul Buffington. He preceded her in death Aug. 6, 1961.
She was a member of St. Tobias Church in Brockway.
While she was able, Josephine was active in the Brockport Senior Citizens, where she especially enjoyed playing cards. She also enjoyed growing flowers and crocheting.
She was retired from Brockway Drug, where she worked as a clerk for more than 20 years.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
There will be no public visitation. Services will be at the convenience of her family. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery in DuBois.
