He was retired, 73 years old, divorced, and a resident of 1009 N. Robinson Street Cleburne, Texas, burial was July 20 1914, informant was D. G. Wilson, R. H. Deering Funeral was in charge of arrangements

He was a Johnson County Pioneer, about 9 years prior he suffered a stroke of paralysis and later had 5 strokes, the last coming last Tuesday and resulted in his death Sunday afternoon.

While quite feeble, his son brought him from Joshua to the city for close medical attention. Everything possible was done for him but he could not be restored to health.

The deceased was a member of the Joshua Masonic Lodge and the interment was under the auspices of Cleburne Masonic Lodge #315. The Santa Fe Company furnished a special train to the cemetery for the accommodations of local friends and employees desiring to attending the funeral.

Mr. M. V. Wilson had passed his 73rd birthday, his last birthday being on Feb. 16th. He leaves 4 children to mourn his death: D. G. Wilson of Cleburne, Eugene Wilson of Jackson, Tenn., Lee B. Wilson of Jonesboro, Ark., James M. Wilson of Jackson, Tenn., and a step - son Will M. Williams of Waco who was prevented from attending the funeral by illness in his family.

The death of Mr. M. V. Wilson closes another active life, one devoted to the up - building of the Texas in general and Johnson County in particular. Mr. Wilson was born in Jackson, Tenn. on Feb. 16th 1841. He came to Texas about 18 years ago and located in Cleburne. About a year ago he moved to Joshua and he was brought from this place to this city some days ago.
