Mary (Cover) Steele of Richmond, died on Saturday (Aug. 17, 1996)

She was a Staunton native and a graduate of Stuart Hall and the Maryland Institute of Fine Arts at Baltimore. She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Country Club of Virginia, was a former member of Tuckahoe Woman's Club and past president and honorary member of the board of trustees of the Virginia Home.

Surviving are her husband, William T. Steele Jr.; two sons, William T. III and Russell C. Steele, both of Richmond; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 this morning at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, with private burial.

Memorials may be made to the Virginia Home or St. Stephen's Memorial Fund.

Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel, is handling arrangements.
