She was a Patent attorney for the U.S. Government.
She was the daughter of the late Gustavus (1845 – 1909) and Adelaide Wasmansdorf Dittmar (1850 – 1912), who were married in March 1872. They were both cremated at Lee's Crematorium, in Washington, D.C.
In September 1892 , Gustavus married Blanche M. Lacante in Annapolis, Maryland.
Frieda appeared to live with Blanche and Gustavus after they wed. Blanche lived with Frieda until Frieda died in 1948.
