Joyner-Holloway Vows Read in Dallas Friday

Dickerson Chapel of the First Methodist Church in Dallas was the setting for the wedding of Mrs. Elaine Covey Holloway and William Walter Joyner, Friday evening, February 24, at 7 p.m. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Covey of Dallas and the groom's parents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Joyner. Dr. Robert E. Goodrich, Jr., pastor of the church, performed the informal, double-ring ceremony before the altar decorated with pink flowers and candelabra holding pink tapers. Miss Barbara See, organist, played the traditional wedding music. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an Italian Peasant suit of pastel pink and a small, hat designed of tulle with navy accessories. She also wore a tiny heart-shaped necklace, a gift of the groom, and carried a Bible covered with pink satin, topped with an arrangement of tulle and tiny pink rosebuds. Miss Sue Bulls of Dallas was maid of honor. Royd G. Irvin of Ml. Pleasant was best man and the ushers were James A. Matetich of Dallas and David S. McLure of Houston. After a brief wedding trip the couple will make their home in Dallas. The bride is a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and Southern Methodist University where she received her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education. She is a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority and an honorary member of Psi Chi Sorority.
