Adam, as he was sometimes called, was the son of Konrad Stoeckle and his wife, Margaretha Veronica Kuebler(in).

He married Catharine Graessle on Sep. 27, 1808 in Evangelisch, Konigsbach, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany. They had eight known children: Catharine in 1809, Franz in 1811 (d. 1823), Barbara in 1814 (d. 1814), Elisabetha in 1815 (d. 1823), Salome in 1818 (d. 1823), Georg Adam in 1820 (d. 1823), Justina in 1823 (d. 1823) and Christiana in 1827. All the children were born in Evangelisch and baptized in the Parish of Konigsbach.

Only daughters Catharine and Christiana survived to adulthood. Five of the other six children died between Nov 1-10, 1823. There was a major cholera pandemic that swept the world at that time, but it is unknown what their cause of death was.

His immigration records have not yet been found.

In 1850 he was listed as Adam Heckly in Nockamixon Twp., Bucks Co., Pennsylvania. He was living with his daughter in Tinicum Twp., Bucks Co. in 1860.

George appeared in the records of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ferndale (Nockamixon Twp.), Bucks Co. It is assumed, but not confirmed, that he is buried in St. Luke's Cemetery.
