The News, Frederick, Maryland, Thursday, February 16, 1961: MRS. ERNEST A. H. BARNES Mrs. Dena M. Barnes, 70, well-known resident of Taylorsville, Carroll county for the past 50 years, died suddenly yesterday, 1:30 a.m. at her home. She was born in Carroll County, a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Rosa E. Byers. Surviving are her husband Ernest A. H. Barnes, a daughter, Mrs. Lillian E. Naill, at home, one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Two brothers, Frank Byers, Mt. Airy, and Albert Byers, Taylorsville, also survive. The body is at the late residence where friends may call today and Friday, 7 to 10 p.m. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family and will be conducted by Rev. Charles G. Muradian of Taylorsville Methodist Church. C. M. Waltz, Winfield, funeral director.
