Mr. Brown was graduated from the Kansas City School of Law and had an office in the Commerce Bank Building. He was a member of the American Bar Association and the Missouri Bar.
He was an Army veteran of World War I and a past commander of the Louis A. Craig Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and the Jackson County V.F.W. Council.
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
He was born in Tracy, in Platte County, Missouri, and had lived in this area 60 years.
He leaves three daughters:
Mrs. Patricia Underwood, Houston;
Mrs. Kathleen McPhilliamy of the home; and
Mrs. Geraldine Bass, Spring Hill, Kansas
He also leaves a brother, William Brown, Buffalo, Kansas; a sister, Mrs. Bernice Williams, Chanute, Kansas; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church; burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. V.F.W. services will be held tonight followed by a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, where friends may call after 2 p.m.
