Pauline R. Holtzapple, 73, of Spring Garden Township, died at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday at York Hospital. She was the wife of Dale G. Holtzapple. The service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Bethany United Methodist Church, 14O1 Mount Rose Ave., York. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Viewings will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York, and 9:30 to 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Mrs. Holtzapple was born June 21, 1923, in Spring Garden Township. She was the daughter of the late Charles William and Cora I. (Kauffman) Thomas. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, its United Methodist Women and Willing Workers Sunday School Class, and Pleasant Acres Auxiliary. Mrs. Holtzapple is survived by a son, Crist A. Holtzapple of Windsor; a daughter, Beth E. Devcich of Chantilly, Va.; and three grandsons. Mrs. Holtzapple was preceded in death by two daughters, Sue Ellen Holtzapple and Donna Romaine Holtzapple, and a grandson. Officiating at the Service will be Rev. Dr. Ron McElwee.
