Robert D. Holtzapple, husband of the late Lydia Anne Holtzapple, who resided at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Emory Fackler, York RD 1, died Saturday at 10:50 a.m. at Snyder Convalescent home. He was 86.

Mr. Holtzapple was a member of the Reformed congregation of Shiloh Union church; Washington Camp 42, Manchester, Patriotic Order Sons of America; Linden Camp 5375, Modern Woodmen, and Shiloh Fire Company.

Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Fackler, with whom he resided; Mrs. Walter Martin, 730 Prospect street; Mrs. Raymond Baum, York RD 1; Mrs. Gus Carbaugh, 32 North Sumner street; two sons, Jacob D. Holtzapple, 14 North Main street, Dover, and John A. Holtzapple, 655 West King street; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Charles Klinedinst, York RD 5; two brothers, Jacob Holtzapple, 638 West Princess street, and Lewis Holtzapple, York RD 6, Taxville.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Max G. Anstine Funeral home, 1701 West Market street, Rev. Roy W. Limbert, his pastor, will offficiate. Interment will be in Shiloh cemetery.
