Co. H, 15th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry

At the time of his enlistment in the 15th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, Windsor was living at Upton and gave his occupation as bootmaker.

On 12 Jul 1861 Windsor mustered into Company H, of the 15th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, being credited to the quota of Upton, Massachusetts. He was 18 years, 9 months and 29 days old.

On 4 Jul 1863 he was wounded at The Battle of Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania, in the chest. On 15 Mar 1864 he transferred from the 15th Massachusetts to the Veterans' Reserve Corps and mustered out on 26 Jul 1864.

Windsor returned to Upton and worked in a shoe shop. He died unmarried on 7 Feb 1904 at Upton, Worcester County, Massachusetts. He was 61 years, 4 months and 25 days old.
