Lester Samuel Persinger, oldest son of Sam and Ivy Persinger, was born Dec 5, 1914 on his parents farm, northwest of Courtland. At the age of nine he was stricken with infantile paralysis, which left him a cripple. Thru his desire to make good in this world, he became a mechanic and followed this profession as long as his health permitted.
He married Rosene Griffith Oct 8, 1939. To this union one daughter Elaine Gayle was born.
Besides his wife and daughter he leaves to mourn, his father, brother Edwin and his wife, a niece, other relatives and a host of friends.
