Obituary.
William Abbott was born November 29th (sic), 1857, and died at Maud, Mo., Dec. 14, 1921, aged 64 yrs, 22 days.
In 1879 he was united in marriage to Lizzie Clements with whom he lived until her death in 1907.
Mr. Abbott spent nearly all his life in the city of Quincy, Illinois until last May when he moved to Maud, where he was stricken with apoplexy and met so suddenly and unexectedly his untimely end. His disposition was very reserved, but those acquainted with him knew him to be an honest and upright man. He was a good citizen and his friends feel deeply his untimely end.
He leaves one sister, one brother and a number of nieces and nephews and other friends and relatives.
Funeral services were conducted at Maud Church, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by Rev. Q. A. Mitchell. Remains were laid to rest in Maud Cemetery.
