Frank P. Gatch, 88, of 723 West Court Street, Ithaca, NY died Tuesday,January 23, 2001 at Cayuga Medical Center. He was born February 8, 1912 in Pittston, Pennsylvania, son of the late Adam and Mary Gatch. Frank retired in 1975 from the Cornell University Heating Plant.
He is survived by his sons, Edward P. (LaVerne) Gatch of Jacksonville,NY, Paul W. (Sylvia) Gatch of Newfield, NY and Adam F. (Linda) Gatch ofPheonix, Arizona; his grandchildren, Kimberly (Scott) Salino, Timothy (Deborah) Gatch, James (Melissa) Gatch, Paul (Kimberlee) Gatch, Tina(James) Lindblad, Lori (Christopher) Beebe, Tammy (Andrew) Stevenson,Jennifer (Greg) Stapley, Leslie (Scott) Freeland, and Joseph Payne; 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is alsosurvived by his brother & sisters-in-law, Joseph (Margaret) Humble, Walter (Marie) Humble, MaryLou (Stan) Shaw. He was predeceased by his wife Doris L. Gatch and sisters Alice Hall and Mary Gatch and great-granddaughter, Sydney Gatch.
A private family service will be celebrated by Father Leo Reinhardt on Friday at Bangs Funeral Home, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank´s memory may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
