Mrs. Lyda J. Baker 1015 Hays Park, Kalamazoo - Passed away Wednesday morning June 30, 1971. Mrs. Baker was born August 2, 1896 in the Netherlands, the daughter of Christian and Margaret Rey and had been a resident here for 63 years. She was a charter member of the Prairie Edge Christian Reformed Church and a member of the Ladies Society of the church. Mrs. Baker is survived by one son and 3 daughters, Otto R. Baker, Jr. of Almena, Mrs. Thomas (Marva J.) Triemstra, Mrs. Glenn (Phyllis M.) Ennis, both of Kalamazoo, Mrs. Sam (Eunice) Nuyen of Portage; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two sisters and one mer(?) of Schoolcraft, Phillip Rey of Pine Lake and Mrs. Anna Locker of Parchment; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at the Langeland Chapel, 622 S. Burdick, Rev. Charles Greenfield officiating. Interment in South Portage Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel. Memorials may be made to Prairie Edge Christian Reformed Church Memorial Fund.
