Frances M. Rokisky, age 94, of Monroe, formerly of Trenton, died April 24, 2010 in the home of her daughter.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at the Trenton Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., where a wake service will be at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday. She will lie in state from 11:30 a.m. until Mass of Resurrection at 12 noon from Our Lady of The Woods Catholic Church, Woodhaven. Cremation will follow. Her final resting place will be with her husband at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Englewood, Florida.

Born September 10, 1915 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Frances was the daughter of Ira & Bertha (Nutter) Collett. She married Vendel Rokisky on June 19, 1934. Sadly, he preceded her in death August 11, 2003.

In addition to being a homemaker, Frances worked for a number of years at People's Savings Bank in Trenton.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Trenton and Past President of the Rosary Altar Society, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroe, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Englewood, Florida, Past President of the Downriver League of Catholic Women, Past President of the Rotunda West Women's Organization, and Knight of Columbus LOTA.

Frances was also an avid golfer and successfully shot a Hole-In-One at the age of 75.

Frances leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Charlotte (Morris) Prater of Southgate, Elaine (Bryan) Koch-Eaton of Monroe, Rebecca (Clyde) Fontes of Decatur, Alabama and Collette (Thomas) Henry of Monroe. She will also be missed by 13 grandchildren: Valerie (Michael) McCarthy, Sandra (Craig) Youngberg, Kenneth (Chella) Prater, Pamela (Gary) McGowan, Lisa (Larry) Bohr, Thomas (Shannon) Prater, Krista (Sean) Musial, Cheryl (Jeffrey) Kuehnlein, Eric Koch, Christine (Steve) Pendley, Bryan (Dede) Myl, Sarah Henry and Ian Henry; as well as 29 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe.
