While still very young, she with her parents and four brothers came to this country with Father Butler's Colony in the year 1878, settling in the Clearfork neighborhood, about five miles north of Blaine, Kan. Her she grew to womanhood.
On January 9, 1891, she was united in marriage to Michael J Minihan, To this union were born ten children. Catherine died Jan 4, 1911 at the age of four years. With her husband, the other nine children were at her bedside at the time of her death: Robert, John, Mrs Leo McCormick and Mrs Frank Finan, all of Blaine; Edward of Seminole, Okla., Jerry and Mrs David Black of Long Beach, Calif., Thomas of Oxford, Michael Jr of the home; two brothers Michael Green of Cheyenne Wyo. and John Green of Guthrie Okla: 30 granchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Her home was always open to the hungry and no one ever left it hungry.. She was full of sympathy always having a kind word of pity for anyone in trouble.
Her six sons were her pallbearers and her four grandsons were servers at her Mass, namely Robert and Francis Minihan and Michael and Thomas Finan.
