Samuel J Robertson moved his family to Evergreen, Alabama to have access to the curative waters of the mineral springs once found there. His wife, Eugenia Adelaide, was an invalid and the hope was that the waters would have a healthy affect on her. After her death in 1897, Samuel married her younger sister, Mary Elizabeth. They are all buried in the Evergreen City Cemetery along with some of the children of Samuel and his first wife, Eugenia.
