Lonnie C. Pickett Jr., 82, of Jacksonville passed away May 10, 2006. A native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville he was the founder of Truck and Trailer Refrigeration Service Inc. and had served his country for 5 years in the U. S. Navy during WWII. Lonnie was a member of St. Johns Presbyterian Church, Woodstock Park Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Bodies, and Morocco Shrine Temple, all of Jacksonville. He is survived by his wife, Louise A. Pickett, 1 son, Ronald Kitrick Pickett (Debbie), 1 daughter, Rita Lonett Jason (Andrew); 2 sisters, Shirley Pickett Turner, Gloria Pickett Richardson; 3 grandchildren, Sarah and Rachel Pickett, and Mary L. Jason. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday (TONIGHT) at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Graveside services will be held 11 am Friday in Edgewood Cemetery with Rev. Robert Fore officiating. Military honors will be rendered from the graveside by the U. S. Navy Honor Guard.
