He was the son of Otto J. and Marie (Max) Walther, both of whom preceded him in death. He was first married to Dorothy Beck. On September 7, 1974 in Jefferson City he was married to Victoria Knorr.
Paul was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson City and was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict with the 538th Field Artillery. He was employed with the Missouri Division of Employment Security for 41 years as a Systems Analyst, retiring in 1994.
Along with his wife of 41 years, he was survived by: three children: Alan M. Walther and wife Trish of St. Peters, Missouri; Donna K. Kihneman and husband Ken and Marla J. Walther, all of Missouri City, Texas; brother Vernon A. Walther of Jefferson City; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: three sisters: Ruth K. Steinmeyer, Norma C. Steinmeyer and Flora M. Walther; and one brother: Erwin F. Walther.
