Funeral services for James Hill, 79, who died December 22, 2009, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel. Pastor Lamar Denkins will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home is in charge.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Betty Dingler Hill and Tina Franklin Hill; parents, Henry Hill and Lottie Waddell Reeves; two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Elvie H. Hill; daughter, Cynthia (Lawrence) Hill Johnson; grandson, Rhett James (Erica Frazier) Johnson; step-children, Karen (Nick) Johnson, Rick Franklin, Leo Hogue and Steve Hogue; six step-grandchildren; three brothers; two sisters; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
