Noble enlisted in the U.S. Army on June 17, 1942 and served as a Technician 4th Grade with the Headquarter Battery 457th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion 3rd Army in the European Theater of Operations (E.T.O.). He was awarded the Bronze Service Award for Omaha Beach. 5 Battle stars for Normandy, N. France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe, and the European Theater Medal. He was honorably discharged on November 25, 1945.
