Marion's parents were Ethel Melander-Swanteson and Theodore Nicolai Petersen. She had 3 siblings: Doris, Theodore and Victor Petersen. She also had a half brother Richard Petersen who lived in California. Marion left home to finish her HS education after her mother deserted the family. She became a Photographer's model. in NYC. She married Joseph Paris and they had 3 children. Marion later went on to get her college degree at Rutgers University in Psychology. She loved reading and cooking. She died from colon-ovarian cancer at age 63.
