Services for Mr. Curtis David Ashcraft, age 69, of Lindale are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Bivens officiating. Burial will follow in the Lindale City Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale. Mr. Ashcraft died Friday, May 18, 2012 in a Tyler hospital. He was born July 16, 1942 in Lindale, Texas to Curtis David, Sr. and Bertha Lee (Hammock) Ashcraft and was a longtime resident of Lindale. Mr. Ashcraft was retired having worked as a tile contractor and enjoyed his morning coffee club group that met at Brookshires in Lindale.
Mr. Ashcraft is survived by his children, Curtis Lee Ashcraft of Lindale, David W. Ashcraft of Lindale, Robin Scott of Lindale and Bill Ashcraft of Athens; 17 grandchildren including Chrystal Reyes of Lindale and 30 great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Ashcraft, Jerry "Bubba" Ashcraft, Hayden Ashcraft, Micah Alana, Joey Derosier and Joey Richard.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.
