Obituary: BAKER, Mr. Francis A., of Kalamazoo, MI, Died Tuesday morning, February 15, 2005. Francis was born December 28, 1919 in Otsego, Michigan, a son of Alfred and Anna (Beck) Baker. During WW II, he served with the U.S. Air Force. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and was employed with the North American Aluminum Company for 34 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gertrude N. Baker on May 17, 1997; and 2 sisters, Verla and Leona. He is survived by 3 children, Lynnette Sangsland, Cheryl (Dan) Slack, and Pamela (Cliff) Cunningham, all of Kalamazoo; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Raymond (Joyce) Baker of Otsego; a sister, Dorothy Bronkema of Wisconsin; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 1 o'clock Friday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association. www.langelands.com
