Bill was the son of Dougan Clark Lane (1893-1979) and Pauline Bell Parks (1894-1969.
He married Virginia Carr Swann 7 Oct 1939 Ward County, Texas. He was 21, she was 17. They were living in Barstow, Ward County, Texas with their infant daughter, Martha, on the 1940 US Federal Census.
