Wife of Newton Moore (1879-1950). She was the daughter of William Blakely (1863-1931) and Emma Knittle Blakely (1864-1906). Sister of Edna Blakely Courtemanche (1888-1976), Everett Blakely (1891-1984), Earl Blakely (1895-1970), and Elizabeth Blakely Carlin (1896-1984). Eunice was a character, she always said what was on her mind, and never mind what people said. She was someone that believed children should be seen and not heard. She was a great cook, and loved to do crafts. Lived in Hilmar since 1910, but lived in Turlock at the time of her death. She married George Heidt (1888-1951) in 1911. Son Earl came a year later. Earl Heidt (1912-1989) and Byron "Barney" Heidt (1923-2001) followed eleven years later. In 1938 her husband was taken from her by the grips of a younger woman named Myrtle. Her son Earl and his wife Doris helped support Eunice and Byron until Eunice married Newton Moore. Newton died in 1950. Eunice kept herself active. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Turlock, Wisteria Chapter No. 296 Order of the Eastern Star, Turlock Grange, Rebekah Lodge, Turlock Whisteria Club and Turlock Senior citizens. She was also the grandmother of Richard, Carolyn (1943-2009), Susan, and Michael (1954-2008) (children of Earl Heidt and Doris Martin Heidt), and Linda (1950-1997) and Mark Heidt (Children Of Byron Heidt with June Berkebile Heidt).
