Joe Valentine, as everyone called him, was my Great Grandfather. I knew almost nothing of him. He died, when I was 2 years old. Everyone agreed, though, that he was grumpy and irritable; but I know first hand that all 4 of his children and his wife were very sweet. I enjoyed knowing them all. So something was working out well in that family. Also, I know first hand that both of his sons were very successful in their careers. That says something, too. - Steve Burton
