Cuin was born Feb. 1, 1921, to Danel Norvell and Annie Hice Norvell in Burkburnett, Texas. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II from 1942-1945. He was stationed in England and often spoke of his ride over on the Queen Mary.
Cuin was married to Vera Lou Fincher for 15 years, before she passed away in 1962 in Hobbs, N.M. He later remarried Mary Elaine Reid-Romine on April 11, 1964. Cuin was a man who knew his own mind and did not shy away from sharing his opinion. He believed in being honest and ethical both at home and work. Cuin was a hard worker, and after 20 years of service he retired from Tipperary Oil and Gas. After retirement, Cuin indulged in his hobbies of hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a Christian man and was proud to tell all that he had read through the Bible over 20 times. He loved and cared for his family and they were most important people in his life.
Cuin is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Elaine Norvell of Robert Lee; his children, Ronald Cuin Norvell and wife Patsy, Ricky Lynn Norvell, all of Hobbs, N.M., Paul "Kenny" Romine and wife Terri of Odessa, Bud Dwayne Romine and wife Shawn of Granbury, Kerry Dale Romine and wife Lisa of Hobbs, N.M., Teresa Ellen Neiman and husband Dennis of Robert Lee and Debora LoRayne Henry and husband Pete of Cedar Park, Texas. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
