Isabelle R. Black, 76, New Cumberland, formerly of York RD 2, died Tuesday morning at her home. She was the wife of the late Claude B. Black Sr.
The service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown. Burial will be in Blymire's Cemetery. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Black was born in Carlisle. She was the daughter of the late William J. and Rebecca (James) Nickey.
She was employed as a presser at South Pine Nightware in York. She was also employed as head dietitian at York County Hospital and Home, retiring in 1979 after 12 years of service.
Mrs. Black is survived by two sons, Claude B. Black Jr. of York and Kenneth W. Black of Stroudsburg; a daughter, Louise R. Staugh of New Cumberland; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Winifred Hare of Carlisle; and a half-brother, Patrick Nickey of Carlisle. Mrs. Black was preceded in death by a son, Thomas T. Black Sr., who died in 1964.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. R. Jack Rhen, pastor of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Dallastown.
