He was a member of the Blooming Grove Baptist Church near McLeansboro where he professed in faith in Christ at age 12.
He was also a member of Illinois Auctioneer's Association and Hamilton County Ageless Iron Tractor Club.
Surviving are his parents, Allie and Imogene Myers of McLeansboro, two daughters, Mary Kathlene Floyd and Constance Lee Nalley, both of McLeansboro; a sister, Judy Thomas of McLeansboro; two brothers, Larry of McLeansboro and David of Baldwin, Missouri; three stepgrandson; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2000 at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Rev. Robert Sefried officiated. Visitation was from 4-8 March 14th at the Funeral Home. Burial was in Blooming Grove Cemetery near McLeansboro.
