Obituary - Donald H. Mills, 77, died September 6, 2003 in Orem, Utah from complications of diabetes.

He was born March 10, 1926 in Castle Gate, UT to John Mills, Sr. and Elizabeth Howard. He married Ada Taft Sept 19, 1947 in American Fork. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Nov 15, 1954. Ada died July 25, 1970. He married Christine Stripling Aug 31, 1973 in Orem.

Don served his country honorably during World War II in the 10th Mountain Division, Italy. He retired from Geneva Steel after 39 ½ years. He completed a two-year course at Trade Tech in Cabinetry. He loved woodworking and spent many hours in his shop. He served 12 years as Scoutmaster helping in excess of 20 boys each year earn the rank of Eagle Scout. He received the Silver Beaver Award and the Scouters Key and was Scoutmaster at the National Jamboree. Don also served as Elders Quorum president, Young Men's president, and as a home teacher. He coached little league baseball for many years, kept a beautiful yard and garden, and loved working in his yard. He will be greatly missed by the many people who have been touched by his service.

He is survived by his wife, American Fork; daughters and son, Donna (John) Downard, Ferron, Dorothy Woodcox, American Fork, Loretta (Sherwin) Massey, Payson, Calvin (JoLynn) Mills, American Fork, Yvonne (Kent) Blanco, Lehi; stepsons and stepdaughters, Ken-neth (Suzie) Stripling, TN, Ricky (Kathy) Stripling, FL, Donna (Kaylin) Street, FL, Kerry (Vickie) Stripling, FL, Christy (Nathan) Buhler, Lehi; 42 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchild-ren; sister, Elizabeth Jones, Lehi; brother, Kenneth Mills, Spanish Fork; and sisters-in-law, Leola Mills, Lola Mills, Sherma Mills, all American Fork, Linda (Larry) Bynum, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Jack, William, Roy, James.

Services Wed. Sept 10, 11 a.m. American Fork LDS 20th Ward chapel, 855 E. 500 N. Friends may call Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N, American Fork, Tues. 6-8 p.m. and Wed. at the church 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Timpanogos Memorial Gardens, Orem, with military rites by VFW, District IV Honor Guard.
