Gravestone has the wrong death year, as well as for Jerusha. The stone was most likely added at a later date and the dates got mixed up somehow. His obituary says he died Nov 9, 1947 in Onawa, and he was buried Nov 11, 1947.
His birth location could be either Crawford County or Missouri. The 1982 Monona County History Book says Crawford County. His obituary says Missouri. His family moved in either 1865 or 1866 to Iowa from Missouri.
