He was born on October 26, 1924 in Poyntelle, Pa., the son of Michael M. and Agnes T. (Connor) O'Boyle. Frank married Amy Hazen on September 9th, 1951 at St. Paul's Church in Hancock. She predeceased him on April 10, 2005.
Frank was a 1943 graduate of Hancock Central School and went to school for Plumbing and Heating in Troy. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local #112, Binghamton, N.Y. for 30 years and was a member of Murray Hollow Fish & Game Club, American Legion Post 289, Hancock, VFW in Deposit and St. Paul's Church, Hancock, N.Y.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Lisa, Endwell and Thomas and Regina, Hancock; as well as four grandchildren, Brennan, Patrick, Kaitlyn and Connor; a sister, Agnes, Hancock; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and John; and a sister, Jean Makowski.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 7th, from 6-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 8th, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Morris officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hancock. Memorial donations may be made in Frank's memory to Catskill Area Hospice, Hancock Fire Dept. or to the Hancock Rescue Squad.
