Mrs. Susanna Wasson, 69, wife of Edwin Luther Wasson died yesterday morning, February 5, 1936, at 11 o'clock at her home in Avis, after a lingering illness. She suffered a stroke a week ago. She was a member of the Avis Lutheran church and of the Rebekah lodge.
Susanna was born September 21, 1867 to the late James Beaty and Sarah Runkle Beaty, in Spring Mills, Pennsylvania.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Harriet Beatty, Alda McCormick, Annie Beatty; and one brother, Daniel Foster Beatty.
Other survivors are three sons and a daughter, Roy Beatty of Yellowstone National Park; James and Mrs. Bessie Driver, of Avis, and Charles of Island; also a brother and two sisters; John Orvis Beatty of Avis; Mrs. Mertie Hazel of Bellevue, Ohio, and Mrs. Minnie Shirk, of Glen Iron, Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Avis Lutheran Church, the Reverend H.F. Shoaf of Jersey Shore officiating. Burial will be made at Bellevue Cemetery, Avis.
