Graveside services for Marie Dove, 86, of Crosbyton and formerly of Afton, were held Saturday, January 22, 2005 at Afton Cemetery with Rev. C.L. Atkinson officiating.
Services are under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, January 19, 2005 in Crosbyton. Mrs. Dove was born November 11, 1918 in Shawnee, OK to Life and Beverly Glasscock West. She attended school in Olton.
She married Charlie Dove on February 20, 1937 in Olton. She and her family moved to Afton in 1949. Charlie preceded her in death in 1987. She was an active member of the Dickens Co. Senior Citizens for many years. She was a member of Afton Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jane Smith and one grandson. She is survived by two sons, Life Dove of Austin and Bill Dove of Afton, seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
